I have been a creative being my whole life, making all kinds of art since I was a child.
In my 20s and 30s I was raising children and remodeling houses in my spare time. Both creative endeavors for sure. In my early 40s, when we moved to property in a more rural setting, my husband and I built the home that we live in today. It’s been a labor of love and a test of our adaptability to be involved in such complex tasks, but I call myself carpenter, plumber, electrician and mason ….
In the past few years, I’ve turned back to fine art and painting has become an important form of expression for me. I have built up a body of work, mostly acrylic on canvas and work in a style that is intuitive and emotionally charged. I call myself a painter/poet as I often incorporate stream of consciousness etching into wet paint.
